How to Lounge…Lesson 1

Lounge tip # 1:  Take time to smell the flowers (literally).

Don’t flowers just make you feel good?  Today, go grab a bunch of your favorite flowers and put them where ever you will see them most often.  Just seeing and smelling your flowers will make you smile 🙂 ! If you are allergic, look at some flowers through a window, or maybe in a magazine (LOL)!

*Once you put the kids down, take some time to your self and try our recommended momtea or momtini*

Chi Tea

1 Black tea bag or for decaf use a decaffeinated red tea.

1 3-inch piece stick cinnamon

2 c. milk

2 tbsp. raw sugar or honey

1 tsp. vanilla

1/8 tsp. ground ginger

1/8 tsp. ground cardamom

In a small saucepan combine tea bag, the cinnamon stick and 1/2 c. water.  Bring to boil.  Remove from the heat. Cover and let stand fro 5 minutes.  Remove and discard tea back and cinnamon stick.  Stir the milk, sugar, vanilla, ginger, and cardamom into the tea. Cook and stir over medium heat just until mixture is heated through (don’t boil).  Top with a dollop of whip cream and enjoy!!

* Instead of eating the cake batter out of the bowl why not sip it from a glass!*

Vanilla Cake Batter

Very sweet, but yummy!

2 oz Vanilla Flavored Vodka
1 oz Pineapple Juice
Sugar

Fill mixing tin with ice. In the mean time, chill a martini glass by filling with ice and water. Put the vodka and juice in the mixing tin, top with mixing glass and shake. Dump the ice/water out of the martini glass. Make sure the rim of glass is moist (use some pineapple juice) and dip in sugar. Strain the drink from the tin into the glass. Yummy. But this is one of those drinks where 1 or 2 is enough…then it’s really too sweet.
