Funny things our two year olds say…

Journey is a funny, warm, loving little girl. It has been so incredible to see her blossom into this child; who says the craziest and most logical things. Here are a few of her most notorious words or phrases.

“Mommy…I love you!”; She usually says this out of the blue or when she really wants something. She prefaces her request with a very sweet “Mommy, I love you” to butter me up–and it usually works!

“I have an idea!”; It is usually an idea that will benefit her wants and needs. Like the time that we were going to the store and Journey said, “I have an idea! We can buy ice cream!”

“I’m a big girl!”; She always proclaims this when I tell her she can’t do something. She will usually ask why first and if the answer doesn’t change she uses her phrase, but “I’m a big girl!”

“Hooray!”; Journey will shout out “Hooray!” anytime that she is pleased and happy that something worked in her favor. Like if I say we can get a lollipop at the market–her favorite thing.

Kiara is precotious litte two year old whose quick wit helps her to keep up with her older sister.

Funny things Kiara says…

“I have an idea”; She will gasp and say “Mommy, I have an idea! Let’s go to the park!” At nine o’clock at night when she is supposed to be sleeping.

“I’m going to ChuckeCheese tomorrow”!; usually said once a day in order to premeditate actually getting to go there.

“I’m not listening to you!”; said to her 5 year old sister.

“What happened?”; usually asked during a disney princess movie overandoverandover again!

I’m ok”; said to resist the inevitable nose or face cleaning.

Two year olds really do say the funniest things! Let us know what your two year old says or has said! We would love to hear from you. We really wish more people would leave comments to give us your feedback or to just start converstation. We welcome you to! So, have a great Friday!

  1. Hi, this is Melissa from Mile High Mamas. Amber has asked me to try to track down e-mail addresses so she can send out an e-vite to everyone for our dinner on September 12th. Would you mind sending me your e-mail address? Please also include the name of your blog so I can keep track of who is who! Thanks! My e-mail address is melissabhowell (at) gmail (dot) com.

  2. Hello! I just blog hopped here from MakeandTakes to Texas Mama to your wonderful site. I was so happy to read all your fantastic posts about breast feeding. Your daughters are so beautiful!
Reading what your kids say made me laugh. My boys are 4, 3 and 1 and we get some pretty funny things too. We also get the “I have an idea!” and then the ideas could range from going to Grandad’s house (who live 12 hours away) to playing a computer game when computer time is well past over.
The thing I remember from a few days ago was that we were in the car, waiting for my husband to come back from the bank (called the Piggy Bank by my 3 year old). My 4 year old saw a store that had big letters written on the window and he said, “Mom, that is Just a Paint Store.” It wasn’t a paint store and we talked about what all the letters where and what they spelled, but after that I think I want a to open a paint store called, “Just a Paint Store.”

Anyway, great site! I’ll be sure to be back!!!
