Lounge tip # 20: Pamper your lips

Lounge tip #20:  Pamper your lips
There is something special about a smile.  It has the ability to instantaneously change moods. Think about when your kids were newborns, their sleeping smile made your heart melt.  While there is debate as to how many muscles it actually takes to smile, most agree that it takes far fewer to smile than to frown.
Here are some steps to get our lips and teeth in tip top shape for smiling.1

Start with a lip scrub to smooth and soften lips. Mix a 1/2 tsp. of olive oil and a 1/2 tsp. of sugar the lips. Lightly scrub the lips with this mixture, then rinse off. Some of the oil will likely stay on the lips. This is fine, as long as all the sugar is removed.

Wet a soft toothbrush with cider vinegar and brush your teeth for two minutes. Rinse, then floss. Then brush again with either baking soda or your favorite whitening toothpaste, again for 2 minutes. Rinse, and prepare the whitening strips or tray.
Use whitening strips or gel/tray combination according to package directions. Use cider vinegar to wash away any whitening gel that may cling to the teeth or the inside of the mouth. Do a last rinse with water, apply lip balm, and smile!

Smiling is infectious,
You can catch it like the flu.
Someone smiled at me today,
And I started smiling too.
